The Sydney Swans drafted the highly-touted Logan McDonald with the fourth overall pick of the 2020 AFL Draft, such was the potential of the blistering key forward. Recruited from Perth Football Club, he enjoyed a breakout season in the WAFL, proving he is more than capable of handling senior level footy with 21 goals in just nine appearances to finish as the club's leading goal scorer. After enjoying a strong pre-season upon his arrival at the Swans, John Longmire handed him his AFL debut in Round 1 of 2021. McDonald enjoyed his best season yet in 2023, and learning his craft from Lance Franklin, booted 32 goals from 20 appearances.
