The Sydney Swans drafted the highly-touted Logan McDonald with the fourth overall pick of the 2020 AFL Draft, such was the potential of the blistering key forward. After enjoying a strong pre-season upon his arrival at the Swans, John Longmire handed him his AFL debut in Round 1 of 2021. McDonald enjoyed his most consistent season in 2024 playing all 26 matches and booting 37 goals for the red and white. Unfortunately, he missed the entire 2025 season with a significant ankle injury.
