UPCOMING GAME
Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows – Round 19
Saturday July 23, 1.45pm
SCG

OUTS: Harry Cunningham (medi-sub)

The Sydney Swans have made no changes to the side that delivered a gutsy victory over Fremantle, when they host the Adelaide Crows on Saturday afternoon at the SCG.

“It was a strong game last week,” said senior coach John Longmire.

“There’s still a couple of good performances in our reservers, and we still feel like we’ve got some depth if required. We go into this game knowing we’ll have a really good battle against the Crows.”

Longmire revealed his side must stick to their processes to combat a fired up Crows outfit who will be looking to bounce back from a narrow loss to Collingwood.

“Their performance was very good. It was a wet and slippery conditions, and we might have wet conditions again this weekend. It was within a kick, and they gave themselves every chance to win. We have to be mindful of that and play to our strengths as well.

They’re very good around stoppages, they’re very good around pressure tackles, they put enormous heat on the ball carrier, they’ve got some really good strong tackling players. We think the way they’re going is that they put enormous pressure on you and you won’t have much time with the footy. We have to make sure we put the pressure on and we put the ball in our forward half.”

“It’s such an important day. Redkite do such a wonderful job for so many kids and their families. It’s such an important cause to get behind, let’s make sure everyone who comes to the footy on the weekend gets behind it.”
