Sydney Swans midfielder Dan Hannebery has jumped to third position on the overall leader board in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year Award.

Hannebery has been in blistering form to start the 2015 season and has moved to 22 votes at the end of round four, placing him behind Fremantle star Nat Fyfe (33 votes) and Greater Western Sydney midfielder Dylan Shiel (29 votes).

The 24-year-old has averaged a career high 30 disposals per game during the first four matches of the season including 13.5 contested possessions and 6.2 clearances per game.

Hannebery collected two votes in Saturday’s loss to Fremantle as did teammates Jake Lloyd while Sam Reid was handed three votes from the coaches.

Nat Fyfe was unanimously voted as best on ground by John Longmire and Ross Lyon, awarded the full ten votes for his 27-disposal performance.
