Did you know that during the Sydney Derby this Saturday, 334 people will reach out to Lifeline?

On Saturday April 29 the Sydney Swans will play the GWS Giants in an exciting Sydney Derby, vying for points on the AFL Ladder and the Lifeline Cup.

The Sydney Derby proudly supports Lifeline to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention in Australia. Lifeline plays an important role in supporting all Australians experiencing emotional distress.

More people than ever before are reaching out for help and the money raised through The Lifeline Cup will support these services so Lifeline can be there for anyone, anytime, whatever the reason.

Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via phone on 13 11 14, text and online chat, to listen without judgement to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or who needs to be heard.

Show your support this Sydney Derby and buy a virtual seat in honour of those who can’t be at the game. The volunteers on the phones right now, loved ones who are struggling and in memory of those we have lost.

  • One virtual seat can fund a potentially life-saving phone call.
  • Three virtual seats can fund training so frontline staff can provide the best possible care to people in crisis.
  • 30 virtual seats can fund an on-the-ground shift supervisor to support our volunteers.
