The Sydney Swans headed along to the Sydney Float Centre on Wednesday for their first recovery session using Zero Gravity Float Tanks.

Gary Rohan and Jarrrad McVeigh joined teammates as they tried out the recovery method for the first time.

The float tanks provide relief from joint and muscle soreness by allowing athletes to be completely removed from their senses including light, sound and gravity.

The removal of these senses creates a sensation that is akin to floating weightlessly in space.

A combination of the weightless, stimulus-free environment coupled with magnesium-rich Epsom saltwater can aid in the reduction of lactic acid build up and inflammation.
