QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate Harry Kyle will make his AFL debut against Richmond this weekend.
Kyle joined the red and white as the club’s first selection in the 2025 AFL Draft, after matching the GWS Giants bid at pick 14.
The 18-year-old grew up playing rugby and basketball before landing at the QBE Sydney Swans Academy in the middle of 2024.
Kyle has played eight VFL games this season and notched 23 disposals across the half back against Geelong last weekend.
Sydney Swans senior coach Dean Cox said he was pleased to see Kyle earn his opportunity at AFL level.
“Harry has worked hard for this opportunity, and it’s a terrific reward to see him make his debut on Saturday afternoon,” Cox said.
“His development over the last few years has been impressive and we’ve been really pleased with the progress he has made since being drafted.
“It’s also testament to how important and valuable QBE Sydney Swans Academy is, as it continues to develop talent capable of playing AFL footy.”
The Sydney Swans will announce their full Round 12 team at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday.
