Preparing for the Power

Sydney head to South Australia this weekend to face Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Coach Dean Cox said his side is prepared for the challenge of the Power on their home deck.

“They're a dangerous team, and they've shown it throughout the season. They've beaten Geelong by 30 points at Adelaide Oval.

They were a point off beating Adelaide. Under a new coach, their identity to us is pretty clear. We need to make sure that we're aware of that, and our players are aware of it.”

Injury blow for McInerney

Sydney Swans midfielder Justin McInerney has been dealt an injury blow and the in-form midfielder will miss the next 8-10 weeks after sustaining a hamstring tear in last week’s win over the Saints.

“Unfortunately he's out for a sustained period of time. Like all good leaders and professional athletes do, he'll prepare as well as he can.” Dean Cox said

Adams to return to the VFL

Taylor Adams will return to the field this weekend in the VFL. Adams has had a run of injuries which has hampered his 2026 season to date.

The 31-year old suffered a partial tear of his achilles in the preseason in December 2025 before playing in the VFL Round 1.

However a hamstring injury sustained in April has kept him sidelined the last few months but he will return as our VFL side take on Southport on the Gold Coast this Saturday morning.

Molloy Opens Up

Chloe Molloy has opened up after her decision to step down as AFLW Captain.

"It was really hard. The reason was, I have so much more to give, and a title isn't going to change that. If anything, it was probably a selfless decision to go. I know the club's in good hands, and we've got our young leaders coming through”.
