With the mid-season bye upon us for the Sydney Swans, now is a good time to look ahead to the 2026 Bob Skilton Medal.
The glittering event will take place on the evening of October 1, at the Sydney Town Hall, where the announcement of our 2026 Club Champion receives the prestigious medal as our best and fairest player.
How is the Bob Skilton Medal determined?
The award itself is determined by the Sydney Swans Football Department, and its ‘coaching group’, who each award up to five votes per player based on their performance in every game.
There is no restriction on the number of players who can be awarded votes in any given round.
The player with the most votes is awarded the Bob Skilton Medal while second place receives the Adam Goodes Trophy and third place is awarded the Peter Bedford Trophy.
Alongside the crowning of the 2026 Bob Skilton Medallist, there will be numerous other awards presented on the night including:
- Club Champion, Bob Skilton Medallist
- Adam Goodes Trophy (2nd Place)
- Peter Bedford Trophy (3rd Place)
