The Sydney Swans VFL team have continued on their winning ways, dominating the Gold Coast Suns to defeat them by 40 points at People First Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was the Swans third win in-a-row and was set up by a blistering first quarter of footy and some elite tackle pressure and run across the four quarters.

In a high scoring opening term, Sydney booted eight first quarter goals in a shootout where 14 goals were kicked between the two teams.

Riley Bice was best on ground for the Swans, putting his best foot forward to return to the Swans senior team. Bice had 35 disposals and was busy all over the park, finding targets and applying plenty of tackle pressure. Fellow Swans-listed player Billy Cootee was not far behind Bice with 27 disposals, a game high nine tackles and a goal.

Up forward the goals were shared amongst the Swans with Jevan Phillipou continuing his solid month of footy, kicking another three goals to add to his five against Sandringham last week and bags of three against both Southport and St Kilda in the weeks prior.

Jesse Dattoli was again hitting the scoreboard, booting thee goals of his own including a beauty from outside 50 off one-step to go alongside his 18 disposals.

Jedd Longmire was instrumental early, kicking three first quarter goals while Jake Sutton, Kaiden Harbour and Khy Gibbs also kicked two goals each.

Mal Rosas Jnr was also busy with 22 disposals and a game-high nine clearances , Nic Shipley with 21 disposals, Ned Bowman with 20 and Lewis Melican had 19 disposals.

The win takes the Swans to fourth place on the ladder, on equal points with the Giants who play their Round 15 match against Coburg on Sunday.
