Sydney Swans captain Callum Mills spoke alongside GWS GIANTS player Stephen Coniglio ahead of Sydney Derby XXXIII.

On the team's recent performances

"Yeah, I think that's what we're doing. We're just getting to work. Sometimes you can overcomplicate it but the matter is we're just not doing it for long enough in certain periods and we see it as a great opportunity to sort of see how good we can get if we put them together and we've done it over a few games this year where we've done it and it feels really good and so we're just getting back to work to try and produce it over four quarters."

On differences to 2024

"A lot, it's a completely different season. Two years ago now we've got different personnel, different coaching staff, so yeah I think outside they tend to look back a fair bit but we're looking forward and we're really keen on the possibility of what this week against Giants looks like and going forward. So yeah, you obviously learn from that stuff but you don't want to sit in the past, you want to be able to move forward and look with clear vision."

On the rivalry

"Yeah, I think it's amazing. It's unbelievable for footy in New South Wales, what it's done for the game is next level. As Stephen was saying, we both love playing in these games, they're big games, they make it exciting and they're always packed houses. I can't complain, seeing the growth over my 10, 11 years has been massive. AFL probably wasn't as big as when I first started to compare to now and I think it's a compliment to both sides to grow the game and the rivalry has become what it has."

On Isaac Heeney 

"He's good. I think he just had a little bit of spasm or something like that but he's all good to go. He trained and he's all good."

On Harry Cunningham

"Yeah, he's good. He's pulled up okay. Obviously a little bit dusty the next day but he's on track and the concussion protocol so he's doing better."
