The Swans have made just one change ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Geelong at ANZ Stadium.

Dean Towers replaces Isaac Heeney who strained his posterior cruciate ligament in last weekend’s win against Melbourne.

The injured youngster had scans on Monday to confirm what club doctors say will be a four to six week injury.

It has paved the way for Towers’ recall, with the speedy and creative forward chosen ahead of last weekend’s emergency Craig Bird and the omitted Harry Cunningham who in turn performed well in the NEAFL.

“We’re always conscious of trying to get the balance of the team right,” Longmire told SwansTV for Centrum Team Selection.

“We think with Isaac going out, Dean is the one to bring back in.

“There were a few players in that mix but we’re confident we’ve picked the right team.”

Two other injuries to come out of Saturday night’s win against the Dees were ankle concerns to midfielders Dan Hannebery and Jake Lloyd.

Hannebery and Lloyd showed enough at Thursday’s main training session to prove their fitness.

“Fortunately, they got through training and did what they had to do so they’ll be fine to play,” Longmire said.
