The Sydney Swans will travel to Coffs Harbour at the start of February for a four day pre-season training camp.

It is the third year in a row the Swans will use the Mid North Coast city to fine-tune preparations for the upcoming season.

The Swans will arrive in Coffs Harbour on Tuesday, February 3 and will have two open training sessions at the first-class facilities at C.ex International Stadium.

While in town, Swans players will also host an AFL Superclinic for the local kids, head out to schools in the area, attend an ETC Business Leaders Luncheon, play a round of golf at Bonville Golf Resort, run a training session for the QBE Swans Academy and even swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Marine Magic.

The Swans will visit school students while in Coffs Harbour.

Swans coach John Longmire said the team is looking forward to returning to Coffs Harbour.

“The Coffs Harbour training camp is always a great way to mix up pre-season training and a great opportunity to get away from Sydney as a group for a few days,” Longmire said.

“The players and coaches always enjoy the trip up there and are looking forward to returning in early February.”

The Swans will host an AFL Superclinic on Thursday, February 5.

On Thursday, February 5 at 4pm, the Swans will host an AFL Superclinic at C.ex International Stadium.

The Superclinic will be a great opportunity for local kids to meet their favourite players, grab some autographs and photos as well as learn a few tricks with the footy.

The Superclinic is free, however, registrations are essential by clicking here. Registrations close Thursday, January 29 or until capacity is reached.

With two open training sessions and the kids AFL Superclinic, fans from around the area have a great opportunity to see the Swans in action prior to the team returning to Coffs Harbour on March 6 for the NAB Challenge match against the Brisbane Lions.

Rhyce Shaw will be aiming to hit a few balls on the fairway when the Swans play a round of golf at Bonville.

Coffs Harbour Mayor, Councillor Denise Knight, said the city is looking forward to hosting the Swans again.

“It’s great to have the Sydney Swans back in town. The players and staff have become regular visitors to Coffs in the last few years and have developed a great relationship with the whole local community, not just AFL fans,” Coffs Harbour Mayor Councillor Denise Knight said.

“This year’s training camp has, yet again, lots of opportunities for fans to see the team training and the kids’ clinic will give junior players a chance to play with, and get tips, straight from their heroes. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back.”
