Several Sydney Swans ambassadors were on Sunday recognised for their outstanding service when they were presented 2020 Australia Day honours.

Acclaimed actor Hugo Weaving received an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for his service to the performing arts, as well as his mentorship of young writers, directors and filmmakers.

Politician Meredith Burgmann was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her service to the people and Parliament of NSW, while Sydney Festival director Wesley Enoch has added AM to his title for his contribution to the performing arts as an Indigenous director and playwright.

Meanwhile, Australian music legend Glenn Shorrock received a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the performing arts as a singer, songwriter and entertainer.

The Sydney Swans congratulate all four ambassadors on being presented Australia Day honours.
