The Sydney Swans have pre-listed Robbie Fox and Sam Gray as Category A rookies for the 2021 season.

Under new AFL rules, clubs are able to transfer two players from the primary to the rookie list, without having to go through the drafting process.

The rule change was introduced last week, just after the players were delisted by the club.

As Category A rookies, Fox and Gray will be available for selection for the duration of the season.

Fox was recruited to Sydney with pick 34 in the 2016 rookie draft and has played 38 games in the red and white over four seasons. Away from the field, the versatile Tasmanian has been an ambassador for Sydney Swans partner Black Dog Institute.

Small forward Gray came to the Sydney Swans from Port Adelaide as a delisted free agent ahead of season 2020. He ran out in seven games in the red and white this year, taking his career tally to 103 games.
