The Sydney Swans kick off their season this Saturday with their 2021 season opener against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday.

Sydney will blood three new draftees with Logan McDonald, Braeden Campbell and Errol Gulden selected for their first AFL games.

The last time the Swans had three first-year players make their debut was 1990, when Paul Kelly, Brad Tunbridge and Shane Fell ran out for the first time in Sydney’s Round 1 clash with Carlton.

Sydney also had three opening round debutants in 2016 , Callum Mills, Tom Papley and George Hewett, however only Mills and Papley were entering their first season with the club.

The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 from 7:30pm, Fox Sports 3 and also streamed via Kayo.

Radio broadcasts via ABC Radio (7:30pm) and AFL Nation (7:20pm).

How to get to the stadium

Train services to event:
Option 1 - Passengers should travel to central station where they can then catch the free shuttle bus from Ann Street.
Option 2 - Passengers can travel to either South Bank or Park Road station where they can walk approx. 1.4km to The Gabba stadium.

Passengers should catch the free city shuttle services from Stanley street to travel to central station

Taxis:
Taxi rank will be available on Ipswich Road

Ride sharing:
Designated ride sharing drop off point will be located on Potts street.
