The Sydney Swans will travel to Melbourne on Thursday April 1 for their match against Richmond at the MCG on Saturday April 3.

On arrival into Melbourne, the team will undergo Covid testing and isolate at the team hotel until the results are provided and all clear.

The Swans had previously been in Queensland on March 20 for the round 1 clash against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

The AFL has confirmed that after discussions with the Victorian Government, the team and support staff are subject to orange zone permit requirements which is effectively completing a border permit application and then upon arrival, testing and isolating until results are available.
