ROUND 10: SYDNEY SWANS v FREMANTLE

Saturday May 22, 7.40pm AEST, 5.40pm local, Optus Stadium

IN: Dylan Stephens

OUT: Justin McInerney

The Sydney Swans have made one change for the trip west to take on Fremantle on Saturday night.

Dylan Stephens comes into the side for his third game of the season, replacing Justin McInerney (managed).

"We have had a number of our younger players have stress related injuries this year and Justin had problems with his back last year so we were advised by our medical department that he needs to have a week off," coach John Longmire said.

Dylan Stephens comes back into the side on the back of a dominant performance in the VFL last weekend where he gathered 37 disposals in the Swans win over Collingwood.

"Dylan's a really good two-way runner and he uses the ball really well so it's good to get him back in" Longmire said.

"His form last week (in the VFL ) was really good, so it's good for him to get reward for that."

The sixth placed Swans go into the match knowing the contest they are in for against Fremantle, who sit just outside the eight in 10th place on the ladder.

"We need to play a hard, pressure brand of football," Longmire said.

"Fremantle have a very good midfield, a good mix of experience and youth and are able to hit the scoreboard so we have to make sure we restrict that."

The match kicks off at 7.40pm AEST (5.40pm local) and will be broadcast on Fox Footy, Kayo Sports and Channel 7 (NSW).
