The Sydney Swans VFL team will play the Southport Sharks tomorrow, Saturday June 5, at Lakeside Oval.

The match kicks off at 10.05am and will be shown live on Kayo Freebies.

Last week's round was postponed due to the Covid-19 situation in Melbourne and this week's VFL games scheduled in Victoria will not be played. 

VFL matches will be played in Queensland and New South Wales between non-Victorian teams as the AFL continues to navigate through a moving fixture to ensure games are played.

The fixture for the VFL will become a week-by-week proposition for the short-term and the AFL will continue to work with the Victorian Government and Health Officials on finding solutions for these competitions.

The Swans VFL side have registered two wins so far this season, defeating the Giants and Collingwood and will face a strong Southport line-up who sit third on the ladder with five wins.

The Sydney side boasts 16 Swans listed players this week with the team boosted by the inclusion of some tall timber in Callum Sinclair, Kaiden Brand and Hayden McLean who all played in the senior side last week.

In-form trio Lewis Taylor, Sam Gray and Dylan Stephens have also all been named in the team.
