Get the latest on the injury front ahead of our Round 3 Thursday night clash against Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium. Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper provides an update on Tom Papley, Justin McInerney, Colin O’Riordon and Robbie Fox, following the Swans win over Geelong.

General Overview

There were no significant concerns out of the game. It was a longer game than usual for our players with the additional activity in the fourth quarter, so it was really good to see everyone get through unscathed.

Tom Papley

Tom Papley is progressing well with his hamstring rehab as per our current plan, we’re happy with his progress at the moment.

Justin McInerney

Justin McInerney missed last week with his knee sprain, he’s progressing well and will be a test in training this week.

Colin O’Riordan

Colin unfortunately suffered a poke to his eye during the VFL game on the weekend. He will need a couple of weeks to get his vision cleared and checked by the specialists.

Robbie Fox

Robbie Fox was playing well in the VFL game, but unfortunately while sprinting during the second quarter he suffered a hamstring strain. He will miss a couple of weeks while he undergoes rehabilitation for that injury.
