Local product Holly Cooper has been named among the top athletes at the 2023 AFLW Draft Combine held across the country over the past month.

Seven QBE Sydney Swans Academy athletes featured in benchmarking at the NSW trials and took part in physical testing. The events included the standing vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20m sprint, agility test and 2km time trial.

The results have since been revealed with Cooper featuring in the the top 10 participants for four events.

Vertical Jump
5th - Holly Cooper, 58cm

Running Vertical Jump
5th - Holly Cooper, 70cm

20 Meter Sprint
6th - Holly Cooper, 3.203 seconds

Agility Test
4th - Holly Cooper, 8.491 seconds

"It was a privilege to attend the AFLW Combine and watch the best NSW talent go to work," Kristie Whittard, QBE Swans Academy Assistant Coach said following the NSW trials.

"It was great to see the bond these players have formed through their years of footy and especially through the Allies season. We are proud of the Sydney Swans and Giants Academy girls and the hard work and resilience they have shown.

"We look forward to bright future playing at AFLW level."
