The Sydney Swans VFL side is set to take on the GWS Giants on Friday afternoon, as a curtain raiser to the AFL Derby at Engie Stadium.

Sydney VFL head coach Jarred McVeigh has made six changes to the side which beat North Melbourne last weekend.

The team will be bolstered by the return of Taylor Adams, who will make his return from a hamstring injury, alongside fellow AFL-listed players Peter Ladhams and Riley Bice, who return after stints in the AFL.

Match Centre

VFL-listed players Tom Forrest, Ben Edwards, Oscar Davies (all omitted) and Matt Lloyd (unavailable) make way for Lachie Carmichael, Noah Chamberlin and QBE Sydney Swans Academy athlete Harry Kyle, who will make his VFL debut.

Tall Aaron Francis comes out of the side after earning a recall to the senior side this week, while Riak Andrew will miss the match through suspension.

The fourth-placed Giants come into the match off a 48-point win over Essendon, while the Swans will be hoping to build on their 11-point victory over the Kangaroos.

The VFL match against the GWS Giants gets underway at 3.35pm at Engie Stadium.
