What's on in Round 6
We're back at Henson Park this Sunday for the Sydney Derby. With sunshine forecast, it's the perfect way to round out the weekend as we clash with the GWS Giants.
The sun will be shining and there's plenty on, make sure to get down to Fan Zone and collect a limited-edition Cynthia Hamilton keyring. There are only 100 on offer, so get in quick before they are gone. PLUS All-Australian Defender Brenna Tarrant’s match worn boots will be raffled off at Fan Zone under the red marquee in Round 6. Make sure to pop down, have a look at the boots and buy your tickets.
Plus, by turning up you'll be changing her game. To increase the length of the AFLW season to 14 games, we need to grow our crowds to 6,000 attendees per match. Bigger crowds mean more footy, and who doesn't want that?
Jarrad McVeigh to depart Sydney Swans
After 23 years in the red and white, including co-captaining the club in the 2012 Premiership, on Tuesday it was announced that Jarrad McVeigh is departing the club to pursue an opportunity overseas.
Few people have had an impact on the club like the former keeper of the No.3 guernsey. A fierce competitor known for his dash off the half-back line, McVeigh’s work ethic and leadership endeared him to Swans fans and set the tone for the club’s culture.
