We’re thrilled to share that the Sellers & Colless Centre, Sydney Swans HQ, is a Bronze Winner of the International Architecture & Design Awards and has been shortlisted for another international award recognising venue design in sport and entertainment.

The project, designed by Populous, won in the Renovation, Restoration & Adaptive Reuse category after breathing new life into much-loved Sydney icon the Royal Hall of Industries.

In detailing the reasons behind the award, the Architecture & Design Community’s website says:

“By repurposing and revitalising this beloved landmark, the Sydney Swans HQ stands as a testament to the adaptive reuse of historical architecture and a showcase of Sydney’s commitment to both sporting and community engagement. The facility has achieved a 5-star Green Star certification.”

Meanwhile our HQ has been shortlisted in The Stadium Business’ seventh annual Design & Development Awards (#TDA25) which celebrate the best in venue design, development, construction, and refurbishment.

Sydney Swans HQ has been named as a finalist for the Community Project Award, which recognises the design and delivery of a community-focused facility project in sports and entertainment.

  • Alexander Stadium/Perry Park (Birmingham CG2022)
  • Centre Slush Puppie (Ville de Gatineau)
