Local legends: Isaac Heeney and Max King with fans at the superclinic in Newcastle on Monday evening.

The Sydney Swans have been spreading their wings in Newcastle this week for the club's 2026 AFL Community Camp.

The club headed north to Heeney heartland to take part in various school, club and community activities from Monday to Wednesday.

The Community Camp kickstarted with a superclinic in Newcastle on Monday evening where Newcastle born Swans Isaac Heeney and recent draftee Max King were a hit alongside new Swan Charlie Curnow and the rest of the 2026 squad including kid favourites Tom Papley.

A contingent of Swans also stopped by the Central Coast en route to Newcastle to host a clinic for locals at Bateau Bay on Monday evening.

Tuesday saw the full squad spread across the region with school visits to local primary and high school students who were able to participate in clinics and Q&A sessions with some of the biggest names in the game.

Swans players also took part in various community engagements including charity Christmas gift wrapping at Westfield and meet and greets with some lucky Swans fans at Belmont 16s sailing club and finished the day off with some media at the Ocean Baths on Newcastle Beach.

The Community Camp wrapped up with an open training session at Newcastle No.1 Ground on Wednesday morning with plenty of Swans members and fans turning out to watch the action, grab a selfie and get an autograph before the team headed back to Sydney on Wednesday afternoon.
