Swans return to Melbourne for the first time in 2026
South Melbourne members and fans, we're returning to our second home this week for a Thursday night clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.
It's set to be an important test for the travelling side after securing two impressive wins at the SCG this month. The last time the two teams met was in Round 1 of the 2025 season when the Hawks ran away with a 20-point victory at the SCG.
The South Melbourne Office, Bob Skilton House, is open all week for member redemptions and your fresh game day merch.
Ball is up from 7:30pm AEDT while members and fans watching from home can tune in from 7:00pm on Channel 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.
Injury Update
On the injury front this week it was confirmed that Errol Gulden will require surgery after sustaining a dislocated shoulder in last week's match against Brisbane. Unfortunately he is expected to remain sidelined for at least four months.
Meanwhile, Isaac Heeney who came off the field with hamstring tightness on Saturday night is a test to play after scans showed no structural damage.

Sheldrick: "I've made big steps in the right direction."
Young midfielder Angus Sheldrick appeared in a press conference on Tuesday and discussed Gulden's injury, the upcoming match and his development in the team.
"I've still got to earn my stripes every week. It's a very talented and experienced midfield that I've been lucky enough to learn off," he told the media.
"But at the same time it means that there's boys that have done really well for probably 10 years in there. So I'm still learning and finding my way. But I feel like I've made big steps in the right direction."
