THE Sydney Swans have announced final changes to their playing list ahead of next month’s AFL National Draft.

Two more players, Ed Barlow and Matthew O’Dwyer, have been delisted, and the Club would like to thank them for their efforts during their time in Sydney.

Barlow, who was a 2006 rookie draft selection, played 26 games for the Club and kicked 18 goals.

Barlow, 23, known as “Cheese’’ at the Club because he grew up at Tathra on the south coast of NSW near Bega, had his best season in 2009 when he played 14 games, but added only one to his tally in 2010.

He leaves the Club as the holder of the 3km time trial record, which he set in the pre-season this year. He broke the record, held by David Spriggs for five years, by 17 seconds.

O’Dwyer, who was a 2007 rookie draft selection, played seven games in the red and white after coming to the Club from Calder U18.

A pacy player, he played four games at the end of 2009 but managed just one more this season.

A total of three players - Barlow, O’Dwyer and Kristin Thornton - have been delisted from the senior list since the end of the 2010 season.

Two players - Jake Orreal and Taylor Gilchrist - were delisted from the Club’s rookie list.

Two players - Brett Kirk and Henry Playfair (who was on the rookie list) - have retired, and Patrick Veszpremi has been traded to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for Andrejs Everitt.

The Club will have at least three selections in next month’s National Draft, with pick 21 the first of those.
