Swans travel to Geelong after historic win on the Gold Coast

The Sydney Swans continued their strong start to the season on Saturday with an 82-point win over the Gold Coast Suns, 15.13 (103) to 3.3 (21). Sydney became the fourth team in AFLW history to reach 100 points - the squad's highest ever score - while Chloe Molloy kicked seven majors.

Her haul equals the record of current Sydney assistant coach Brooke Lochland, who set the mark for the Western Bulldogs against Carlton in 2018.

The team now travel to Victoria for a clash with the Geelong Cats at GMHBA Stadium in week one of Indigenous Round. Tune in from 3:05pm on Saturday to catch all the action.

Zippy Fish receives Rising Star nomination

Zippy Fish has been named the Telstra AFLW Round 2 Rising Star nominee following Sydney’s win over the Gold Coast.

After a record-equalling 26-disposal debut in Round 1, Fish put on another impressive display against the Suns, notching 27 disposals, including eight intercepts, and using the ball at 85 per cent efficiency.

Fish arrived in the Harbour City after she was taken with Sydney's first pick and fifth selection overall in the 2024 AFLW Draft after a strong season with East Fremantle.

Heeney named All Australian

Star midfielder Isaac Heeney has been rewarded for his outstanding 2025 campaign, named in the All-Australian team for a second consecutive season and his third selection in his career.

Heeney backed up his stunning form from last season, booting 37 goals and averaging 24 disposals this year.

The 29-year-old kicked five goals on three occasions in 2025,  including a record-breaking performance against North Melbourne in Round 19.

Swans AFLW to wear historic Marn Grook guernsey

This week, the Sydney Swans AFLW side will wear the club’s Marn Grook guernsey in the AFLW’s annual Indigenous Round - recognising and celebrating indigenous players, culture and their contribution to the game.

This year marks the sixth occasion the League will hold a dedicated round, with this season's theme of 'Past Legacies, Future Legends' celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have paved the way for women's football in the past, and those who will continue to build on their legacies in the future.

The Sydney Swans Marn Grook guernsey debuted earlier this year, when the Sydney Swans AFL side hosted Carlton in Marn Grook at the SCG.

For the first time in the club’s history, our women’s team will wear the same Indigenous Round guernsey as the AFL side.
